A day in Osaka

I landed in Japan around six o’clock, which was a little too late to get a train all the way to Kyoto and move into my room. Jet lag told me to get up at seven am, so I had most of the next day to walk around the city.

You had better believe I plan on eating fugu. Right after I find somewhere that’ll serve me a whale.

This crab (which moves, being in Japan and all) and its restaurant are somewhat famous. There’s another one in Tokyo, and last year when I was walking through Shinjuku or something with Aki, Kanako and Emi we passed by one. There was a hawker standing outside inviting people in, and I think he was trying to communicate in English by asking “Do you like Japanese crab?” I’m not sure he actually spoke any though, because all he could get out was “JAPANIIZU KANI GA SUKI DESU KA?”
