About

We’re Lost and Everything is Dirty is about hardship in the name of discovery. It’s an attempt to create a modern framework for hardcore adventure, the kind that leaves you stranded on an ice floe, knee-deep in jungle mud or running from angry natives. It’s about taking questions we thought we’d answered long ago and seeing what the rest of the world comes up with. It’s about travel, but a certain kind of travel – that which is undertaken not because it is enjoyable or leisurely, but because it is difficult and rewarding. Because it eats everything down to the core and spits it out clearer and more beautiful than before.

This is a story about epic journeys. This is a story about staring into the unknown and wrestling it to the ground like an angry bear.

This is a story about what it is to be human.

DISCLAIMER
We’re Lost and Everything is Dirty is about things that may be stupid, dangerous and unadvisable by any normal metric. The stories and ideas on this blog are offered for education, entertainment and maybe a bit of inspiration – that does not mean that we encourage anybody to do stupid, dangerous and unadvisable things. Adventurers must know the limits of what is possible and what they are capable of. Even those that do take enormous risks in departing from the mundane, and this blog is peppered with stories of people who screwed up and died.

Died.

The point to take home is this – If you choose to set off into the unknown, that’s on you. If you eat it out there in the jungle, this website is in no way at fault.

(but when you make it you can totally give us credit)
