COCORA, COLOMBIA
The Cocora Valley is far and away the best something I’ve ever seen. It’s so unique and bizarre that don’t know what to compare it to, but it’s definitely number one somewhere.
A certain species of wax palm that grows in Cocora is the tallest monocot in the world, growing up to two hundred feet tall. It’s also the national tree of Colombia, which means you’re not allowed to cut it down. If it happens to be growing in your pastureland, you’ve just gotta deal with it.
