CHIANG MAI, THAILAND
Loy Krathong is the most spectacular holiday I’ve ever seen. For four days, the residents of Chiang Mai release thousands of flaming rice paper balloons and the streets are overrun with unsupervised teenagers lighting explosives big enough to set off car alarms. The scene above isn’t remarkable – the skies above Chiang Mai actually look like that for days on end (the glowing dots are sky lanterns).

But I have a ton more that I’m going to put up over a few posts.
