I enjoyed your well written article on The Explorers Club, although there were some important errors. We’re hardly a secret organization but, certainly, our profile isn’t as high as a few decades ago. We appreciate articles such as yours, however we definitely do NOT have endangered species on the Exotics Table at our annual Explorers Club Dinner at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York. Through the common goals of our membership, we’re a major force in conservation worldwide today. With internationally known conservationists among our members like Richard Leakey and George Schaller, how could we be otherwise? Would you be so kind as to email me at jason.schoonover@shaw.ca? Thank you. Jason Schoonover, Communications Director, Canadian Chapter, The Explorers Club
